2

Talk it through with Steve

You'll speak directly with Steve, not a call centre. He'll listen, ask a few gentle questions, and help you figure out what kind of support fits your situation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens on the free discovery call?

It's a relaxed 15-minute conversation, not a formal session. Steve will ask about what's bringing you to therapy, answer any questions, and help you understand what support might look like. There's no pressure to book further sessions afterward.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is respected in line with professional and legal confidentiality standards. The only exceptions are situations where there's a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, which Steve will always explain clearly if it's ever relevant.

Do you offer online, in-person, or outdoor sessions?

All three. Steve works with clients online across Australia, in person on the Gold Coast, and through outdoor/nature-based sessions for those who find that setting more healing. You can choose what suits you, or mix formats over time.

Do you accept NDIS participants?

Yes. Steve supports NDIS participants with therapeutic social work, adventure-based respite, and support coordination. Bring your plan details to your discovery call and he'll talk you through how funding can be applied.

How much do sessions cost?

Pricing depends on the type of support you need (individual therapy, couples, NDIS, or outdoor programs). Steve also accepts Mental Health Care Plans (MHCP), so if you have a referral from your GP you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on eligible sessions. This is one of the things covered on your free discovery call, so you'll have clear, upfront pricing before committing to anything.

What if I'm not sure therapy is right for me?

That's completely normal, and exactly what the free call is for. There's no obligation to continue, and Steve would rather you feel confident in the decision than rush into anything.

I'm in crisis right now — can you help?

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 000 (Australia) or go to your nearest emergency department. For urgent mental health support, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14. Heart Earth Alliance offers ongoing therapeutic support but is not a crisis service.
